The Group Benefits Associate (GBA) Designation
It’s time to take the next step! The Proficiency Standards, adopted by member companies of the CLHIA require that employees who represent the insurer in the sale and service of group life and health insurance contracts earn the Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation which is offered through the CEBS program.
Whether you specialize in group benefits or consider yourself a generalist, earning the Group Benefits Associate is a great way to validate your knowledge. The GBA credential behind your name distinguishes you as a professional who knows the group benefits industry and is committed to your career. And when you earn the GBA, you’ll become an important resource within your organization and earn a nationally recognized credential that is portable across all sectors of benefits.
The three courses in the GBA track are part of the CEBS curriculum and may be applied toward earning the CEBS designation.
In addition, insurance professionals in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec can use CEBS courses to fulfill continuing education requirements.
