CPE Credit
Life Insurance Producers
Life insurance agents licensed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec can use CEBS courses to meet their continuing education requirements. Each province accepts 30 credit hours for each course, except Quebec which accepts 60 PDU's.
It is not necessary that the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans issue a special document in order for credit to be earned. The pass notice received from Dalhousie is proof of successful completion. It is merely necessary that the agent sign the notice and indicate the number of hours the course is approved for prior to forwarding it to the provincial insurance council or commission to document credit. (Procedures for reporting are available from each province). Agents licensed in provinces other than Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec should contact the CEBS Department if continuing education requirements are implemented.
Property/Casualty Agents
Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO)
Four hours management credit can be reported for each course. Credit is not deemed to be *technical* insurance credit for property/casualty license holders.
