  • Introducing the NEW RPA Designation!
The CEBS Program is pleased to introduce the NEW Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) Designation.  Consisting of three courses, the RPA covers the essential information that professionals need to know about retirement plans.   All three courses have recently been revised and include the most current information on the following topics:

  • The Pension Protection Act
  • Newly Issued 403(b) Regulations
  • Wealth Management and Retirement Distribution Planning
  • Executive Retirement Arrangements
  • Automatic Enrollment and Default Investments
  • Communication and Investment Advice
  • Lifecycle Investing and Behavioral Finance

The courses include several enhancements to help individuals master the material.  In addition, the CD of the Learning Guide that’s included with the study materials makes the course portable! Click here for more information on the RPA designation.

  • March 2008 NewsScope. A copy has been mailed to all CEBS registrants. Not yet registered? Click here!
  • The 2008 CEBS Catalog of Information is now available. In addition to course descriptions, online study schedules, order forms and other CEBS information, the catalog also details the changes in course titles, study materials and designation requirements.  You can read it online, or request a free copy to be mailed to you.
  • GBA 1 Employee Benefits: Concepts and Health Care Benefits (Course 1)

    GBA 2 Employee Benefits: Design, Administration and Other Welfare Benefits (Course 2)
    These courses will be revised for the 4th quarter 2008.  A new learning guide for each will be published to supplement the Handbook of Employee Benefits, 6th edition.  The current study manuals are applicable for exams taken on or before September 30, 2008.  The new learning guides will be available in early fall 2008.  The Handbook will remain current for this revision.

  • GBA 3 Health Economics (CEBS Course 9) This course will be revised for the 2nd quarter of 2009.  Testing on the current study materials will end on March 31, 2009.
  • CEBS Course 3 and 4 Revision.  Retirement Plans: Basic Features and Defined Contribution Approaches and Retirement Plans: Defined Benefit Approaches and Plan Administration were revised for the 4th quarter of 2007.  The new study materials are now available. Testing on the previous study materials ended on September 30, 2007.
  • Refer to NewsScope for course corrections and other updates.
  • PHR/SPHR Now Accepted for CEBS Exam Transfer Credit
    CEBS will now accept exam transfer credit from those individuals who hold the PHR and SPHR designations.  Click here for more information.
