Fore!

Play golf where the legends have on the two 18-hole golf courses located on the property. La Costa is currently the host of the World Golf Championships—Accenture Match Play Championship.

Do I see Tiger?

Carlsbad is also home of Torrey Pines, the host of the U.S. Open and one of the nation’s premier golf courses. You may be able to spot some of your favorite golfers, as the qualifying rounds are taking place during the Trustees & Administrators Institutes.

Tennis, anyone?

If tennis is more your game, enjoy 17 hard and clay courts that frequently host championships and celebrity outings.

The Trustees and Administrators Institutes, offered twice a year, present three side-by-side institutes—Advanced Trustees, Administrators and New Trustees. These focused tracks help those in attendance gain the education and updated information they need for their specific role.

Who Should Attend

The New Trustees Institute is designed for trustees who have served for less than two years, or who have not previously attended an International Foundation educational program. The Advanced Trustees is perfect for the experienced trustee and the Administrators Institute is for salaried and contract administrators.

Program Highlights

  • Overview of the role and responsibilities of trustees
  • Exploration of the key areas of legal and legislative compliance, trust fund accounting, health care and pension funds, investment and fund assets, and plan administration
