Session Schedule [PDF]
Participants and beneficiaries of UBC trust funds have been served by dedicated labor and management trustees for almost five decades. Those trustees, while carrying a full scope of duties and responsibilities, are facing increasingly complex issues and difficult decisions. Managing trust fund affairs in this challenging environment requires effective trustee education. To support their efforts, the UBC is sponsoring this specialized seminar for new trustees of carpenter and millwright trust funds.
This program, facilitated by the International Foundation, provides valuable insight into the role and responsibilities of trustees in the key areas of legal/fiduciary duties, accounting, health care, pension, investments and plan administration. The objective is to furnish the information and tools that trustees need to manage their trust fund affairs with confidence in today’s challenging environment.
Your complimentary registration includes comprehensive program materials as well as breakfast and lunch. If you choose housing accommodations at the United Brotherhood of Carpenters’ International Training Center, complimentary dinner is also included.
Who Should Attend
This program is ideal for those who have been trustees for less than two years or who have not received formal trustee training. It is also an excellent refresher for senior-level trustees.
