Ms. Beaudry is principal and vice president of Health Care System Consultants, Inc. (HCSC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has over 18 years’ experience as an employee benefits agent, intermediary and consultant. Additionally, as an employer herself, Rae Anne acts as the chief operating officer and legal compliance officer for HCSC. Her consulting experience includes funding and risk analysis, active and retiree employee benefits feasibility studies, benefit plan design for labor and non-negotiated programs, and multiple-year budget and benefit projections. Rae Anne’s publications include articles on retiree health benefit plans, HIPAA compliance and COBRA compliance.
She believes that changes in legislation, especially in regards to Medicare and HIPAA privacy and security, are big topics of conversation. Rae Anne also thinks some hot topics in health care include global applications of benefits provided for employees, ex-patriots, etc., and how to read and understand contracts and their limitations and coverages.
Rae Anne grew up in a very small town in northern Wisconsin called Park Falls. She is married and has a teenage son. Some of her hobbies include reading, dancing, supporting her son’s sports programs, and fundraising for charitable organizations. Rae Anne and her husband, Tom, love to travel. They have gone to Ireland, England, Italy and Vienna. On several occasions, Rae Anne has met interesting dignitaries and was even lucky enough to meet Pope John Paul II.
Ms. Beaudry is a graduate of Marquette University. She really enjoys teaching and learning from the professionals in the classes at the International Foundation. Rae Anne always takes something away from each experience, whether it is a new professional acquaintance or a new idea that she can use. Her approach to teaching is “to utilize practical and every day examples from actual experience to assist in the application of the class curriculum.” She encourages lots of class participation.
