NASBA (Credit for CPAs)
The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. CPE Credit: See the session descriptions for NASBA subject area recommendations. In accordance with the standards of the National Registry, CPE credits will be granted based on a 50-minute hour.
Course Objective: This group-live course is an update for CPAs who work primarily with multiemployer and public sector benefit plans regarding topical concerns in the employee benefits field. You will learn about
- Current and pending legislative and regulatory initiatives that may impact your organization’s employee benefit plans
- Emerging trends in the employee benefits industry—in both the health and welfare and pension areas
- FASB, DOL, IRS and/or OLMS developments as they relate to multiemployer and/or public sector employee benefit plans.
Course Level: Intermediate
Course Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites or advance preparation required.
MCLE Information (Credit for Attorneys)
The 2 1⁄2-day conference will earn a maximum of 14.5 hours, including 1 hour of ethics (60-minute states) or 17 hours including 1.5 hours of ethics (50-minute states) when 12 sessions are attended. The International Foundation seeks credit in MCLE states based upon requests for credit on registration and CE attendance forms.
