Attending professionals must be aware of requirements and procedures; i.e., for insurance credit, state preapproval requirements must be met. Lists of sessions applicable or credit will be published in the final program.
Continuing education attendance forms must be submitted at the conclusion of each session. A personalized set of these forms will be sent to you with other registration materials if you request continuing education credit. The International Foundation has been approved for group-live programs only.
The INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION OF EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PLANS is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors (Registry ID# 103063). State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE credits will be granted based on a 50-minute hour. All other sessions are allocated to Specialized Knowledge and Applications with the exception of the Finale Session, which is Personal Development.
This is a group-live instructional course and is an update for CPAs regarding topical concerns in the employee benefits field. There is no prerequisite or advance preparation required. The International Foundation is an approved sponsor of continuing education programs for enrolled actuaries under Section 20 CFR Part 901.11 (g)(2)(iii) of the final Rules and Regulations governing those enrolled to perform actuarial services under ERISA.
The final decision as to applicable credit rests with the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries.
The 2½-day conference (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) will earn a maximum of 16.25 (60-minute) or 19.50 (50-minute) hours when 13 sessions are attended (not including Sessions A, B, C and the roundtables). Legal ethics credit can be earned for Session P-Atty1. (CLE credit approvals are based upon requests for credit received on registration and CE attendance forms.)
