Mr. Brown is an attorney with Watson Wyatt Worldwide. He currently serves as counsel to Watson Wyatt’s retirement practice. In his previous position with the Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Brown worked in the employee plans technical and actuarial division. Before joining the IRS, he worked for the United States Department of Justice Tax Division. He is a member of the North Carolina and District of Columbia Bar and is admitted to the United States Supreme Court and Tax Court Bar. Mr. Brown is a fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Council and previously an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center, the University of Maryland and The George Washington University. He is a member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation. Mr. Brown has authored numerous publications and periodical articles and is currently the editorial advisor for the Journal of Pension Planning and Compliance. He has a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his J.D. degree from Campbell University School of Law. Mr. Brown also earned his LL.M. degree in taxation from the George Washington University.
