This webcast will examine the new grandfathered health plan regulations that were made available on June 14. These important regulations will determine whether many health plans have to comply with the full scope of the new health care reform law (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act), or whether certain important provisions can be avoided.
The presentation will cover:
- The twelve main ways grandfathered status can be lost
- Special rules for collectively bargained plans
- What rules do (and do not) apply to grandfathered plans
- Considerations in whether a plan sponsor should retain its grandfathered status
- The other important clarifications made in the guidance (e.g., whether the health care reform law applies to retiree-only plans, dental and vision plans.
