On December 29, 2007, President Bush signed into law the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act (MMSEA). Section 111 of the MMSEA significantly amends the notice and reporting requirements under the Medicare Secondary Payer statute (MSP). The penalty for non-compliance is steep: $1,000 per day, per claim. This webcast will answer the following questions:

  • What is Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP)?
  • What are the Section 111 mandatory reporting requirements for group health plans?
  • Why are these requirements important?
  • What do I need to do to comply?
