The International Foundation has once again teamed with the Wharton School to offer another high-quality course. This new course presents high-level sessions with a special emphasis on international investment opportunities and related risks.
Who Should Attend
This program is designed for multiemployer and public plan trustees, administrators and staff, human resource and benefits professionals, corporate officers and executives, finance personnel, investment professionals and fiduciaries from both defined benefit and defined contribution plans with an interest in learning more about the international investment arena.
Program Highlights
With exposure to several outstanding Wharton professors over 2½ days of classroom instruction, you will learn about
- Global financial markets—overview of emerging trends and key players
- Investing in global markets—comparison of portfolio returns with and without international investments
- Analyzing portfolio issues with respect to equities in three domains: domestic, developed world equities and emerging market equities
- What to look for in an international investments manager
- The effect of exchange rates on international investing and the impact of hedging on portfolio volatility
- International bond markets
- Financial trends in emerging markets
- The social aspects of investing in emerging markets and/or alternative (nontraditional) international investments.
