Automatic Enrollment

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires large employers to automatically enroll employees in their group health plans beginning in 2014.

Government Resources 

The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA), HHS and Treasury has issued Technical Release 2012-01, which provides information on questions from employers and other stakeholders regarding the provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) governing automatic enrollment, employer shared responsibility, and the 90-day limitation on waiting periods. 2/9/12

EBSA is hosting a public forum on April 8, 2011, for large employers who will be subject to health care automatic enrollment requirements under ACA.
