ERISA Advisory Council Public Meeting Scheduled for November 8-9

The U.S. ERISA Advisory Council has announced that will hold its next meeting on November 8–9, 2011.The meeting will take place at the Department of Labor's office in Washington, DC. The purpose of the open meeting is for the Advisory Council members to finalize the recommendations they will present to the Secretary of Labor. At the November 9 afternoon session, the Council members will receive an update from the Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) and present their recommendations.The Council recommendations will be on the following issues:  Organizations or members of the public wishing to submit a written statement may do so by submitting 30 copies on or before November 1, 2011. Statements deemed relevant by the Advisory Council and received on or before November 1, 2011 will be included in the record of the meeting. Individuals or representatives of organizations wishing to address the Advisory Council should send their requests to the Executive Secretary of the Council.
