Manitoba Announces Changes to the Employment Standards Code

The Province of Manitoba announced changes to the Employment Standards Code providing more flexibility to adjust daily hours of work.

The changes focus on:
  • individual flex-time agreements;
  • applications for averaging permits from all industries;
  • general holidays in climate-controlled agricultural operations;
  • changes to termination rules.
Changes are effective January 1, 2012.
