COMPENSATION ANALYST

Location: 1165 Leslie St., Toronto, Ontario
Reports to: Vice President, Compensation and Benefits

Responsibilities:
The Compensation Analyst will participate in the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs. Additionally, this role provides administrative support for expatriate compensation programs, working closely with employees, Hotel Directors of HR/Directors of Finance and external vendors. Specific responsibilities include:

- Analyze, design, and evaluate compensation programs for company executives and hotels in support of business goals and employees’ needs.
- Assess competitiveness of Four Seasons Corporate compensation plan and make recommendations for new programs or enhancement to current programs.
- Assist with implementation of a job evaluation system by conducting analyses to determine the internal value of positions within the Company.
- Liaise with external consultant on cost of living allowance (COLA) and tax equalization recommendations for executive relocation packages.
- Recommend and develop communication plans and data collection systems for compensation information.
- Research on market trends, legislation, and compensation surveys to make recommendations for policy change and competitive positioning as appropriate.

Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in a related field or equivalent experience. Formal training in compensation fundamentals is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience working in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs.
- Strong MS Office skills; experience with HRIS systems, MS Access, and Lotus Notes is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of current compensation best practices and trends.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical, organizational, planning and researching skills.
- Customer service acumen, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
