This position owns the client service, operations and sales support responsibilities for the local field sales office. Externally, this person is the key contact for service with both brokers and policyholders. This includes the design and implementation of strategies including cross-sell block growth, persistency and customer loyalty initiatives. This position is responsible for establishing workflow and processes that will result in measurable contributions to top and bottom line growth for the organization.

Responsibilities:
1. Owns all service and sales support strategies in a field office.
2. Partners with Sales Market Managers to assure the implementation of sales and service strategies, resulting in sales growth and success.
3. Responsible for the recruitment, training, management, growth and development of the Customer Service Manager/Sales Support Manager, Sales Support Consultant, Account Consultants and National Account Managers.
4. Responsible for implementing efficient workflow and processes for renewals, quote and proposal generation, sold cases and customer loyalty initiatives.
5. Owner of all operations within a sales office including facilities planning, technical operations, supplies, office budgets, etc.

7. Is recognized by broker and policyholders as the key service contact in a sales office. This is accomplished through his/her ability to generate service solutions and resolve issues as they arise.

Qualifications:
• Solid track record in Customer Services from loyalty, technical and marketing perspectives.
• Full understanding of underwriting and risk concepts.
• Must have full understanding of the entire Unum product portfolio and the service processes accompanying those products.
• Ability to manage high level employees.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the insurance or financial services related industry.
• Five years of management experience.
• Track record of success in a fast paced complex environment.
• Ability to work in a highly charged environment.
• Must possess a positive Company image to external customers.
• College degree.
