Job Description:

A self-administered Taft-Hartley pension and health & welfare benefit fund located in Los Angeles/Glendale has an opening for a self-motivated Office Manager.

The successful candidate will supervise five department managers relating to employment and staffing issues, productivity, efficiency, counseling, disciplining, team-building, ensuring that department managers maintain Collective Bargaining Agreement compliance for union employees, and general office administration. The Office Manager will ensure that the office building is maintained according to California workplace safety laws. The Office Manager will also be responsible for building maintenance. This position reports directly to the Administrator.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in a managerial position for an office staff of 40 or more. Excellent organizational, project management, and intermediate computer skills including Word, Excel, other Microsoft Office products are also required. Familiarity with California employment law is required. Experience with multi-employer benefit plan administration including HIPAA is preferred.
