Senior Specialist, Benefits Strategy Projects

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a Senior Specialist, Benefits, you will be part of our success by:
•Supporting the design and development of health, welfare, leave management, and retirement benefit programs in North America through identification of internal and external trends, insights, and best practices
•Implementing the regional benefits strategy and working with Global Business Services (GBS) regional benefits administration support team, third party administrators/record keepers/insurance carriers, HR business leadership, and business unit leadership
•Developing and managing project plans in support of benefits programs and projects assigned
•Serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and reviewer during the development and distribution of communications materials
•Monitoring, revising, updating internal benefits-related policies and procedures while supporting similar updates to plan documents, summary plan descriptions and other regulatory documents
•Remaining current on country, state and local benefits legislation changes and supporting any program adjustments as necessary
•Conducting research of benefits best practices, monitoring legal developments, evaluating emerging trends, keeping appraised of technological advancements and conducting benchmark comparisons for various benefit programs
•Evaluating effectiveness and importance of benefits programs offered by Kellogg North America employees and retirees
•Supporting high-level vendor management activities as needed (e.g., validation of compliance with Service Level Agreements)
•Supporting the Total Rewards Financial Analysis Leader in modeling benefits program costs and liabilities by providing data, input, review, etc.
•Assisting with conducting due diligence and research of choosing a vendor to align with business strategy projects or other business needs
•Handling vendor escalations that can't be resolved between Global Business Services regional benefits administration support teams and individual vendors
•Assisting with the review of vendor contract renewals and proposals
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
In addition to having a hunger to learn and succeed in Human Resources, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree or International Equivalent in Business, Human Resources or related field
•Demonstrated skill set and competence in analytics and capability to think creatively
•Curiosity to think creatively, a quick learner, a problem solver and able to build efficient solutions
•Aptitude to learn and work with accounting and financial concepts
•Business acumen and strong communication skill
•High proficiency with Excel, VBA and Microsoft Office suite
•Master's Degree, MBA or International Equivalent in Human Resources or related field
•Education or experience with data mining, statistics, and/or data analytics
•Experience with benefits related regulations and related compliance activities and requirements
