Job Description:

A Third Party Administrator firm is seeking a highly motivated, hardworking and highly organized professional with human resources and administrative experience. The Firm administers Taft-Hartley multiemployer health and pension plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Plan Manager in the administration of various employee benefit plans
• Manage office staff and day to day office activities
• Responsible for processing pension applications and responding to inquiries
• Maintain current knowledge of all plans
• Maintaining and preparing materials for meetings, including minute writing
• Obtaining the data necessary for annual plan audits and timely submission of required government filings
• Assist with production and distribution of Annual Benefit Summaries
• Most importantly, exercising discretion in all matters relating to administration of the benefit plans and management of internal relationships
• Maintain ERISA, ACA, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements and compliance
• Interpret plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other governing documents and act as a resource for staff and management
• Interact with trustees, plan professionals, contributing employers and participants
Job Requirements:
• Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification
• Professional and personal integrity
• Minimum of 5 years office experience is required
• Multi-employer and Taft-Hartley trust fund experience is a plus
• Must take ownership of projects and be willing to take on new projects
• Individual must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be detail-oriented with good mathematical and analytical skills
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance for health and pension plans is beneficial
• Exceptional team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence quickly
• Management experience is a plus
• Demonstrate leadership skills, capabilities and experience
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Strong decision-making and organizational skills, with the ability to optimize the use of all available resources and deliver on multiple priorities
• Ability to make critical and timely business decisions
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management
• Excellent time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal skills
Full time 8-5 Compensation commiserate with experience.
