How to Register for an Examination
Now that you’ve selected a course, keep yourself motivated by choosing your exam quarter. Select the testing quarter that best meets your business, personal and study schedules. If you are enrolled in the instructor-led online class, it is recommended that you choose an exam quarter that allows you to complete the class with adequate time to review. Choosing a testing quarter establishes your exam eligibility as shown below. Computer-based exams are available at Prometric testing centers throughout Canada and the United States and other locations for on-site testing and provide immediate results.
How to schedule your exam
Once you have submitted the exam application and fee and received a confirmation letter, you can make your exam appointment during your chosen testing quarter at the Prometric or
other onsite testing center of your choice.
- January 1 -March 31
- April 1 -June 30
- July 1 - September 30
- October 1 - December 31
Transfer/Extension -- You may extend your examination to a future testing window with payment of a transfer fee. Payment of the fee must be received before the end of the window. To avoid being a
no show, please make sure you cancel any existing exam appointment with Prometric before applying for an extension.
Retake --If you receive a non-passing grade, you may
reapply for the exam at a reduced
Expired Eligibility-- If you do not transfer your examination and fail to take your exam before the eligibility period has expired, you must reapply for the examination.
Exam Appointment Changes--You may reschedule or cancel an exam appointment by calling Prometric at (800) 226-7955 or online at
www.prometric.com using the Reschedule/Cancel option. Both are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There will be no charge to reschedule or cancel an exam appointment 13 or more business days before your scheduled test date.Rescheduling or canceling appointments between 3 and 12 business days before your scheduled test date will result in a $50 rescheduling fee assessed by Prometric.
