Expand your knowledge of the legal, legislative, plan design and fiduciary aspects of public sector employee health benefit plans by earning your CAPPP® in Employee Health today! With curricula taught by distinguished faculty who are well versed on the real issues affecting your plans, the CAPPP program provides attendees with a solid foundation of education to help fulfill the duties of their roles.

To earn your Certificate of Achievement in Public Plan Policy, both Part I and Part II in Employee Health must be completed. Part II can be taken prior to Part I.

  • Administrative Strategies
    • This session will address key forces driving benefits, how you can distinguish between passive and proactive practices, developing successful comm​unication plans and other administrative functions related to public sector health plans.
  • Concepts of Group Health Plans
    • Learn about effective oversight and management of your plans, address basic health plan designs and options for structuring a plan, review the advantages and disadvantage of various plan designs, discuss emerging changes and other aspects of group health plans.
  • Employer Strategies/Options
    • This session will cover the different drivers of health care, how to evaluate the health care equation and understanding employer strategies and options. It will conclude with a class exercise and discussion.
  • Emerging Issues
    • ​Learn about the influence of trends on future developments, evaluating the different forces shaping health care, the value of proactive versus reactive approaches and how benefits and pay are interconnected. ​
