This survey examines data from the International Foundation's report Financial Education for Today’s Workforce: 2016 Survey Results to determine whether organizations with financial education are experiencing better outcomes in their participant populations compared with those not offering financial education. The survey results revealed two-thirds of organizations provide financial education to employees, and one-third of those have just begun providing it in the past five years. Experts often suggest organizations can derive several benefits from providing financial education including, among other things, a financially savvy participant population better prepared to retire on its own terms and reduced participant stress, leading to fewer absences and increased productivity. The study also compares the strategies and initiatives of organizations with successful programs with those of organizations not experiencing success to reveal hints for offering an effective program.
