Fringe Benefit Funds in the unionized construction industry seek self-motivated, preferably with experience in the carpenter and/or millwright trades, to monitor and collect fringe benefit contributions from contractors. Tasks include verifying and transmitting hours reports submitted by contractors, assisting them in understanding their fringe benefit obligations, investigating and keeping records of delinquencies and fringe benefit agreements, compiling and filing information related to lien and bond claims, and communicating daily with unions, contractors and other members of the Funds’ collection team (attorneys, administrators, and compliance auditors). Computer skills are necessary; experience with Excel and WORD is required. Organization and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
The applicant must be bondable and have an insured automobile for travel throughout Michigan.
