Job Summary
This position is responsible for working with new and existing clients on the on-going design and delivery of wellness services and population health and programs and services for the firm in use with clients and prospects. This includes the selection of vendor partners, the development of unique products and services and in the on-going review of available solutions in the wellness and population health marketplace. This role also supports the service team and the new business team in the delivery of wellness and population health services. Finally, this role is responsible for the direct management wellness staff and wellness vendor management.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of creating global wellness and population health solutions for clients
  • Produce “standard wellness” services and solutions for client use
  • Act as the singular subject matter expert on wellness and population health for the firm
  • Evaluate clinical data and claims data at the client level to help in the isolation of issues of care issues, gaps and other issues that will lead to specific client solutions in the wellness and population health space
  • Manage and inventory all vendor and carrier wellness and population health services and capabilities
  • Management and oversight of Wellness staff, vendor partnerships and day-to-day operations to ensure client satisfaction and retention in alignment with company policies and procedures
  • Develops a staffing plan that includes new positions, new vendors, and current staff training and development in support of organizational and client needs
  • Responsible for management and development of direct reports including coaching, mentoring, performance management and training to ensure the team is highly knowledgeable, professional and capable
  • Assists staff in resolving problems and questions within the department’s area of expertise and across department lines by seeing and understanding the broader impacts to the organization and its’ clients
  • Design, develop and assist Conner Strong & Buckelew and clients in the implementation and on-going strategy of their wellness programs
  • Determine budget, strategic goals, program vision, etc. - all processes that involve a Wellness program for Conner Strong & Buckelew and clients
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and assist client in communicating with and managing their vendor and carrier partners
  • Act as a liaison for both Conner Strong & Buckelew and for the clients to gather ideas and sponsor wellness events
  • Assist clients in executing their Wellness program and strategy through development of Wellness committees, health fairs, vendor summits and other Wellness based activities
  • Aid client with communications, promotions and educational materials
  • Facilitate workshops to review population health analysis, survey results, and make recommendations
  • Develop and deliver population health analysis and aggregate biometric screening results
  • Drive increased utilization and engagement within the wellness program
  • Generate and analyze client utilization reports
  • Assist clients with vendor searches through issuing RFP’s, reviewing vendor proposals and coordinating finalist meetings
  • Continuously researches, reviews and evaluates services of possible new vendors and offerings to stay up to date on industry changes and new Wellness initiatives
  • Responsible for evaluation and continuous improvement of wellness services, programs and processes
  • Identify and develop initiatives to leverage existing partnerships, expanding business opportunities
  • Assist the Sales Team as the Wellness Product expert in presenting wellness/population health management to all current and prospective clients
  • Participate in sales and finalist presentations when necessary
  • Train Sales Teams and Wellness staff

Requirements
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience required
  • RN or LPN required
  • 10 plus years’ experience in corporate wellness and population health with an insurance carrier, broker-consultant or employer/plan sponsor
  • Certifications or designations, including certified corporate wellness specialist, certified wellness practitioner, workplace wellness specialist (WELCOA), Well-Cert, etc.
  • Experience managing a book of business / multiple clients
  • Management experience with multiple direct reports and demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff strongly preferred
  • Problem solver
  • Self-starter, flexible, and able to multitask with minimal supervision
  • Must be capable of working within a less structured environment and with more complex issues
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
  • Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in Windows and Microsoft Office environment, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have experience using the Internet and computerized fitness screening and related software
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar Customer Relationship Management platform
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing, high pressure, organization/environment
  • Must be able to work with short deadlines


Working Conditions
Office environment with moderate noise level; able to work flexible hours and travel to other Conner Strong offices and client work sites as needed.
