New Year, New Beginnings
This year is truly a new beginning for me as I step into the role of CEO.
I’ve had the privilege of working at the International Foundation for nearly 30 years. I feel the history and expectations of the many leaders who have shaped this organization into what it is today, a place of common solutions, unbiased learning, and sharing of ideas and best practices.
Those leaders wisely placed the cornerstone of education as the primary building block upon which all future endeavors should be created. This central vision has helped our members to navigate the changes brought about by legislation, economic ups and downs, and demographic shifts in the population. The Foundation has helped its diverse membership respond to all of these changes with thoughtful, innovative approaches to providing benefits that improve the lives of workers and their families.
I have been part of this organization in many different capacities and, through each of those perspectives, I’ve learned that education is about service. My predecessors have taught me to stay true to serving the membership, honoring the core mission while elevating the opportunities for learning through proactively responding to the changing environment.
The pace of change in the benefits industry is accelerating. The industry is rife with unknowns and complex challenges. Because of that cornerstone of education, the Foundation is well-positioned to continue to meet and overcome those challenges, with a devoted governance of generous volunteers, the support of the preeminent experts in the field and a dedicated and talented staff. I believe we are in a place of incredible opportunity, today and well into the future.
I am honored and excited to continue this journey. Together.
Cheers to a new year and a new beginning.
