The PBAS Group's Wayne Murphy elected to the ISCEBS Governing Council
—Wayne Murphy, CEBS, has been elected to serve on the Governing Council of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS) for a three year term beginning January 1, 2012.
Murphy is manager, corporate serves at Prudent Benefits Administration Services, Inc. (the PBAS Group) in Toronto. In 2004, Murphy earned the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation which is co-sponsored by the International Foundation and Dalhousie University. He is a fellow of the ISCEBS and has served the Society as a member of the Professional Development Committee and as a past president of the Toronto Chapter.
As a member of the Governing Council, he becomes part of the nine-member body that oversees the Society’s finances and polices. Murphy stated that he welcomes the positive direction CEBS is taking towards collaboration in the industry, noting the recent introduction of Dalhousie’s MBA (Financial Services) program that provides advanced standing to those who hold the CEBS designation.
