Addressing the fundamental areas of public sector health benefits, this program serves as the foundation for new public sector trustees working with health and welfare plans. Sessions dissect the basics of what you need to know in your role and the distinguished faculty enrich content with their real-life scenarios and years of experience.

To earn your CAPPP® in Employee Health,  Part I and Part II must be completed along with a take-home exam.​

    • This session will provide an overview of the governance of public health plans including a broad-based orientation addressing issues, duties and responsibilities.

    • Review a trustee or administrator's fiduciary duties and examine legal concepts as they apply to hypothetical situations
  • Legislative/Regulatory Developments (includes in-depth, up-to-date ACA analysis) 
    • ​​Learn about the status​ of  of ACA, key ACA issues for public sector plans and ​how these changes will impact your benefit programs.
  • Actuarial Principles​​
    • Review the characteristics of traditional group insurance, basic methods and assumptions, prefunding concepts, data analysis, and more!
