Dennis Ackley’s innovative, award-winning benefit communication and retirement education programs have reached more than three million employees at hundreds employers. He consults with employers and plan sponsors of all types and sizes to help employees understand, use, and appreciate benefits, pay and HR programs – including health care and consumer-driven plans, retirement and investment education, performance-based incentives, the value of benefits, web self-service functions, benefit choices and changes. He has conducted scores of highly sensitive, complicated, and ‘bad news’ communication events.

Mr. Ackley has more than 20 years of consulting experience with firms including Towers Perrin and Watson Wyatt, and he was VP of Participant Services at JPMorgan/American Century for two years prior to starting his own firm. Before becoming a consultant, Dennis spent six years in educational research and instructional materials development. He has a BS in public relations and an MA in communication.

Mr. Ackley has authored more than three dozen articles for publications including HR Magazine, Benefits Quarterly, Employee Benefits News, and Communication World (Internet search “Dennis Ackley benefits”). He is a featured speaker at scores of conferences including the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, The Conference Board, WorldatWork, Profit Sharing/401(k) Council, the PBGC’s 25th Anniversary, Pensions & Investments, and Benefits Management Forum.
