Mr. Kennedy is principal of PRM Consulting Group in Bethesda, Maryland. He has had extensive experience in conducting and managing consulting projects for a variety of employers in the private, nonprofit and public sectors. This includes the review, analysis, design, development, implementation, communication and administration of executive compensation, employee compensation, performance management, incentives and total rewards. Mr. Kennedy has also advised clients on employee benefit matters since 1980, managed the benefits administration outsourcing operation for ADP Benefit Services in Maryland, and served as the head of Aon Consulting’s Baltimore and Bethesda offices. He is a graduate of Oberlin College with a B.A. degree in government, with Honors and the Sloan School of Management, M.I.T. with an M.S.M. degree in economics and industrial relations. Mr. Kennedy is the chairman of the Capital Area Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors and a director and chair of the Compensation Committee of the InCharge Institute.
Mr. Kennedy teaches Basic Compensation Concepts in the Certificate Series. He loves teaching complex concepts or simple, routine calculations and see the “lights go on” in students. “I’ve learned that asking the students questions is a powerful teaching technique. Students should be learning almost as much from each other as they do from the instructor. I try to make that happen.”
