Mr. Loos is chief consulting officer with Rael & Letson, an actuarial and consulting firm in Washington and California. He has been a health and welfare and pension consultant for over 30 years. Mr. Loos is a graduate of Wesleyan University and also has completed postgraduate curricula at Wayne State University and San Francisco City College. He has been a guest speaker at Michigan State University, Wayne State University and the University of California at Berkeley. In addition, he served as commissioner on the Health Service System for the city and county of San Francisco and was a member of the mayor’s task force on family policy. Mr. Loos has been a member of the International Foundation’s Health Care Services Committee, the Public Employees Committee, and the Educational Program Committee, and served as Chair of the Actuaries/Consultants Committee for four years.
Mr. Loos teaches the Health Care Cost Management course in the Certificate Series.
