Mr. Montan is director and compensation practice leader for Deloitte’s Human Capital consulting service area in Minneapolis. He has over nineteen years of consulting experience in executive compensation, incentive compensation, employee pay, alternative rewards, sales compensation, and performance management. Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr. Montan spent eleven years at Grant Thornton LL, as a director in the firm’s compensation and employee benefits practice. Previously he worked in the technology and communications industries in a series of human resource management positions. He has a BA degree from the University of Minnesota.
His interests include skiing, canoeing, cooking, camping, and collecting wine. He holds among his accomplishments the renovation of an 80 year old log cabin on the Minnesota/Canadian border.
Mr. Montan teaches Total Compensation and Organizational Strategies in the Certificate Series with Stacey Kaplan.
