Foundations of Trust Management Standards (FTMS®)

Thursday, June 17 - Friday, June 18, 2021
Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, Toronto, ON

Foundations of Trust Management Standards (FTMS) is the first step, focused on the needs of new Canadian trustees. FTMS is for those who must learn and understand basic principles of effective trust fund management.

Together, FTMS, ATMS and MTMS provide the ideal blend of knowledge, skill and experience needed for the effective management of trusts. To get the most value out of this education, it is recommended that individuals leave enough time between each step on the path to practice and apply their classroom learning.

FTMS Topics

FTMS focuses on baseline knowledge and understanding of the four key knowledge areas listed below, ensuring that particpants comprehend the foundational information necessary to fulfill their responsibilties as trustees.

  • Legal
  • Administration
  • Governance
  • Funding/Investment/Finance

FTMS is a great forum to network with peers, and the educators are very experienced.
