67th Annual Employee Benefits Conference FAQ


Are masks required?  We are committed to hosting our events following Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 best practices and guidelines as well as any requirements of the states, cities and venues where we host the meetings. Taking into account the size of our group and the potential risk of transmission, we are requiring masks be worn while at indoor conference events (except while eating or drinking). This applies to all individuals regardless of vaccination status. For your convenience, each attendee will be given a mask upon conference check-in.

Masks will be available on-site if you need one. Face shields will be available for attendees who cannot wear masks due to a health condition. Attendees will be reminded to wear a proper-fitting mask by event personnel. Anyone who ignores the policy will be asked to leave the conference. Masks are also still required on all public transportation and transportation hubs per CDC guidance.

Is vaccination required? Following CDC guidelines, vaccinations are strongly encouraged but not required at this time.

Will there be physical distancing? The International Foundation has reserved the entire Colorado Convention Center. This will allow attendees ample space for physical distancing while at the conference.

What do I do if I don’t feel well?  Please do not come to the conference if you wake up feeling unwell. A listing of local health care facilities will be provided.

What risk am I assuming by attending?  The novel coronavirus, COVID 19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic and is very contagious. COVID 19 can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illness and even death. IFEBP has taken and will continue to take reasonable precautions to prevent against the presence and spread of the disease at its conferences but cannot and does not guarantee against exposure; and therefore, in choosing to attend an IFEBP sponsored conference, you acknowledge that you are assuming a risk that you may be exposing yourself to COVID 19 and its potential health risks.

By attending, you agree to the following: I understand the above warning concerning COVID 19.  I acknowledge that in connection with attending the IFEBP sponsored 2021 Annual Conference, I have been offered a virtual option for participating in the Conference but determined that in person attendance is of value to me and I therefore accept the risk of being exposed to COVID 19 in order to attend the 2021 Annual Conference in person.  I agree that I am personally responsible for complying with the announced measures to prevent the presence and spread of the disease and for my safety and actions while attending the 2021 Annual Conference.


What do I need to check in?  You will need your driver’s license or other picture ID. To check in, you will use a touch screen to type in your name.

How do I get session handouts? All session handouts will be electronic. They are accessible on the website, or on the conference app. The app is found in the Appstore or Google Play by searching IFEBP. The passcode will be emailed to all confirmed registrants.

How do I give session feedback? All evaluations will be electronic. After each session a QR code will be displayed. Open your phone’s camera, focus on the code (don’t take a picture) and follow the prompts that pop up. You can also use the app to give feedback. Go to the session, scroll to the bottom to find the evaluation.

How do I get session attendance validated? Your badge, which has a unique code, will be scanned at the end of each session. For preconference sessions, your badge will be scanned upon entry and exit. The ticket system of previous years will not be used.  

How do I get my certificate of attendance?  By attending 11 or more sessions, you will earn a certificate of attendance. This will be emailed to you. Be sure your International Foundation record has your current email information.

How will Continuing Education (CE) work this year? If you requested CE in advance, personalized yellow attendance forms and a guide to preapproved/recommended sessions will be provided. You may also request CE and obtain CE forms on site at the service desk in Lobby A. Yellow CE attendance forms must be completed properly and submitted at the conclusion
of each session. Due to licensing board regulations, CE forms will not be accepted at any other location. No exceptions will be made. Failure to complete forms properly may prohibit administration of continuing education credit. Visit the US Annual continuing education webpage for more information.

Can I participate in a mix of virtual sessions and in-person sessions and earn my certificate of attendance? No. You must earn your certificate attendance in one format—either virtually or in-person.  Those who register for the in-person format will have access to the virtual sessions at the conclusion of the conference.

How will meals be served?  Boxed lunches will be provided in the Exhibit Hall on Monday and Tuesday.


Will there be a shuttle bus to the Convention Center?  Because the hotels are in close proximity to the convention center, there will not be a shuttle bus service.  If you require mobility assistance, please contact the UPS Store at (720) 749-3956 or store6611@theupsstore.com.
