Sharon Cohen, JD is a Principal in Buck’s Knowledge Resources group. She
serves as a resource for consultants and clients, monitoring and reporting on
welfare benefit plan developments, maintaining relationships with government
agency staff and participating in employee benefits industry groups. Before
joining Buck, Sharon worked for thirteen years as one of the health and welfare
benefit resource attorneys in the Corporate Research and Innovation,
Technical Services group at Towers Watson. She is a published author of
numerous articles on employee benefits matters, including writing and editing
the nationally acclaimed Cafeteria Plan Manual, published by EBIA. Ms. Cohen
earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Delaware and her
Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School. She is a
member of the Maryland Bar and the Employee Benefits Committee of the
American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Taxation.
