Mr. Smith is the president and co-founder of ConSova Corporation. Prior to starting the organization, he served as a vice president at Clark Consulting and held positions in finance and labor relations for U.S. Airways. Mr. Smith also worked for Arthur Andersen as a manager developing a health care cost containment practice. Throughout his career, he has evaluated and reengineered processes within various employer operating units and third party vendors to improve financial performance by using the latest data analysis and data mining techniques. Mr. Smith initially obtained his health and welfare consulting experience while working on several medical and psychiatric third party administrator projects as an internal auditor for a self-insured medical plan. His primary approach for employer-sponsored plans was to assess the administrator's claim adjudication process, financial management, health plan cost containment practices and service agreement compliance and then communicate those opportunities identified to improve overall plan performance.
