Ms. Van Bogaert is the partner in the employee benefits law practice area at Boardman Law Firm LLP. She has helped clients with legal advice regarding the design, implementation and administration of all types of employee benefit plans. Ms. Van Bogaert is co-author of 401(k) Plans, published by Employee Benefits Institute of America, and is author of a regular 401(k) column on BenefitsLink. As a faculty member of the Employee Benefits Institute of America, she has taught classes on 401(k), HIPAA and COBRA topics across the United States. Ms. Van Bogaert also teaches for the American Law Institute-American Bar Association (ALIABA) and other organizations. She is a fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel. Previously, Ms. Van Bogaert served as corporate counsel in employee benefits for Inland Steel Industries in Chicago, and was corporate counsel for the Administrative Management Group, a Chicago-area third-party plan administrator. She holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin--Madison and a J.D. degree from University of Wisconsin Law School.
