Reimagining the Primary and Preventive Care Experience for Members

Tuesday, March 21, 2023|3:00-4:00 p.m. ET

Sponsored by Color Health

Getting in to see a primary care physician can be difficult for many—and nearly impossible for some union members. Most funds see low adoption rates for preventive care services and, in turn, see the same preventable high-cost medical claims year over year, such as heart attacks and late-stage cancers. Not only are these costly for the fund, but members and their families are impacted significantly by these preventable conditions. In this program, you’ll learn about:

• The barriers that exist in primary and preventive care and how they hinder utilization of these important services

• How to increase participation by meeting members where they live—and outside of traditional settings

• The steps one large union out of the Northeast took to make it easier for their members to get preventive screenings and support services for necessary follow-up care which, in turn, increased utilization of preventive care services.
