Regional Sales Leader - Voluntary Benefits



Toronto, Markham, Mississauga


Our team is growing and we are actively looking to hire Regional Sales Leader – Voluntary Benefits – for the Greater Toronto Area to join our team. Reporting to the National Vice President, Sales and Distribution Alliances responsibilities of the role include:

  • Drive voluntary benefits sales in the group benefits market
  • Create profitable growth of business through the identification and development of new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with benefits consultants, advisors, and distribution partners resulting in business retention
  • Apply strategic account management principles to achieve sales objectives by working collaboratively with internal stakeholders. Strive to achieve established acquisition and retention goals
  • The ideal candidate would currently be a Benefits Specialist, an Account Executive currently working for an insurance carrier or a Benefits Advisory firm.



  • Identify, build and manage new and existing relationships with Distribution Partners; Identify potential strategic accounts and explore, develop and manage mutually beneficial working relationships
  • Develop and implement territory sales business plan that is aligned to the regional sales business plan
  • Act as escalation point for internal stakeholders to support the resolution of quote, issue, service and renewal issues
  • Facilitate presentations providing consultation to Distribution Partners on Allstate Benefits products, highlighting the benefits and features. Guide Distribution Partners in the determination and understanding of product value and fit for customers
  • Represent the Allstate Benefits brand through regular interaction with Distribution Partners and attending industry events
  • Build relationships within Allstate Benefits in order to leverage the organization in servicing Distribution Partners and delegate service issues accordingly



  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Health Sciences, or relevant field.
  • 5 years of progressive Business to Business sales experience
  • Related experience in life/health insurance (preferably group benefits).
  • Must hold an active life A&S license or obtain in 3 months upon hire.
