 HR Manager duties and responsibilities
 Solid demonstrated expertise in interviewing and hiring for a fast-growing start-up
 Overseeing recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
 Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
 Builds and implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs
 Developing and updating a policy manual. Also briefing the current management staff of policy and procedures
 Manages a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; and recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
 Developing and managing a company’s appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings
 Managing and training the executive and management team
 Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave
 Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly
 Bridging management and employee relations by handling any demands, disciplinary processes and formal grievances
 Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits
 Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
 Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
 Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
 Has an understanding and experience in working with public traded companies, stock option plans, and the challenges therein.
 Assists in educating and helping employees to understand the importance of building culture and work ethics throughout the organization.
 Successful track record of HR work for at least two different companies/organizations
 Close residency to the Tucson area is important
 Good command of HR regulations and state/local/national requirements in all relevant categories for a Tucson employer.
 Can work part-time initially, but looking for a full-time candidate.
 Ability to consult with management, especially to work closely with CEO, outside counsel and Board Chairman, among others.
 CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) designation a plus.
 Compensation commensurate with experience.
 Part-time position for first 6 months, full-time in the 2nd Quarter of 2022.
