Associate Attorney - Employee Benefits

WPCP is a boutique employee benefits firm, representing pension, annuity, health, apprenticeship, vacation, supplemental unemployment and other funds, including their associated collections programs. We are seeking a full-time attorney with an interest in employee benefits law (ERISA). Candidates should have a commitment to representing unions and workers.
Duties
- Draft and provide counsel on the plan design for health, defined benefit, defined contribution and other ERISA benefit plans.
- Handle ERISA compliance matters and other tax related issues.
- Counsel on matters involving employer delinquencies, employer withdrawal liability and individual participant matters, including litigation.
- Guide on regulatory matters affecting employee benefits plans.
- Work collaboratively with other benefit plan professionals.
- Preparation for client meetings.

Experience
- JD from accredited law school
- 0-3 years experience
- Admitted to practice law in Michigan (those awaiting Michigan bar exam results are encouraged to apply)
- Writing sample requested
