PBGC Launches Amicus Curiae Program

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) announced the launch of its Amicus Curiae Program which establishes a process for private parties to request that the agency file a "friend of the court" brief in legal matters with potential implications for PBGC or the broader private pension system.

PBGC considers many factors when weighing a request to file an amicus brief. Any suggestion for PBGC amicus participation should be made as early as possible.

Requesters must include all required information listed in the instructions.
