Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Manager to lead and manage the University’s retirement plan operations. This is a highly visible role responsible for fiduciary oversight, regulatory compliance, vendor management, and participant engagement for a large, complex retirement program.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the administration of NSU’s retirement plans, ensuring fiduciary oversight, regulatory compliance, and accurate recordkeeping
  
• Develop and implement cost-effective administrative systems and procedures
  
• Coordinate Retirement Plan Investment Committee activities and manage relationships with financial advisors
  
• Review vendor audit reports and direct process improvements to eliminate errors and reduce operating costs
  
• Oversee ERISA compliance, annual disclosures, participant reporting, and coordination with ERISA counsel
  
• Review and recommend updates to plan documents in partnership with legal counsel and consultants
  
• Prepare participant and financial reports supporting audits, financial statements, and Form 5500 filings
  
• Manage relationships with investment providers and consultants, including contracts and service delivery
  
• Lead participant education initiatives to enhance retirement readiness and increase plan participation
  
• Provide strategic recommendations to leadership related to plan design, cost containment, and system enhancements
  
• Develop documentation and train staff on retirement plan systems and administrative procedures
  
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and institutional information
  
• May supervise and lead staff in accordance with University policies
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree required
  
• 7+ years of retirement plan administration experience with a large institution (10,000+ participants)
  
• Senior-level experience managing complex retirement plans and vendor relationships
  
• Strong knowledge of SECURE 2.0, ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
  
• Expertise in plan design, compliance reporting, and daily plan operations
  
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  
• Proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  
• Banner system experience
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retirement system implementations
  
• Professional certifications such as CEBS, CBP, PHR, or SPHR
  
• Demonstrated success managing vendors, consultants, and compliance reporting
