Our core service, advanced primary care (APC), focuses on preventive, proactive, and holistic patient care. Marathon is one of the largest providers of APC for Taft-Hartley and union organizations. We provide services across trades and geographies with over 90 labor union clients, 65+ Taft-Hartley plans, serving 400K+ eligible lives—where we see over 98% member satisfaction, and over 80% of those engaged are reducing their health risk.

Marathon’s health centers and APC model serve as a home for up to 90% of members’ physical and mental health needs, including occupational health, chronic condition and lifestyle management, mental health, musculoskeletal care, medication dispensing, specialty care navigation, and more. Union populations in particular face unique health risks driven by the nature of the work, access challenges, and delayed care.

Based on our experience supporting 90+ unions nationwide, we’ve seen that APC—designed specifically for these populations—creates the greatest impact. Across decision-making, implementation, and ongoing management, we operate as a consultative partner—helping labor and management move forward together with confidence. We have tailored programs to control GLP-1 cost, identify cancers earlier, and improve mental health outcomes—particularly important for construction trades.
