Flexible Work and Part-Time Benefits: 2025 Survey Report shows that employers have significantly expanded flexible work arrangements in recent years, driven by the growth of workplace policies and the increasing importance of flexibility for recruitment and retention. The report examines flexible work arrangements, including part-time schedules and remote work, among U.S. corporate and public employers. It addresses the following questions:
- What is the most common flexible work arrangement? Hybrid work was selected by 77% of responding organizations.
- What are the primary reasons for offering flexible work arrangements? The top reasons were supporting work-life balance and attracting a talented workforce.
- What hybrid arrangements and schedules are offered to employees? The most common arrangement was two days remote and three days in the office.
- What percentage of employees are full-time remote? The most common response was that 1% to 10% of responding organization’s workers are full-time remote.
- What retirement and health care benefits are offered to part-time employees? Defined contribution plans and paid holidays were the two most common benefits.
- Does your organization offer part-time employees a paid-time-off (PTO) bank, or separate paid vacation and sick time? About 40% of respondents offer part-time employees a PTO bank.
