Sessions will present programs and strategies that produce the best outcomes from a science and practice perspective.

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford as she discusses that while obesity rates continue to climb, strategies to understand and address the disease are underway.
She will present the epidemiology of obesity as a disease and explore some strategies to treat the disease. She will also help to discern how weight bias and stigma contribute to energy storage, and how early life interactions influence weight bias.

She will share the five core pillars of the TRHT conceptual framework: narrative change, racial healing and relationship building, separation, law, and economy, will provide examples of how communities are using these pillars as scaffolding for their healing and transformational work.

Dr. Dunning is one-half of the team responsible for describing the infamous Dunning-Kruger effect.
