Education Benefits 2024 Survey

The International Foundation’s Education Benefits: 2024 Survey Report reveals education benefit offerings and utilization. More than nine in ten U.S. organizations (92%) offer some sort of educational benefit, the most common of which are tuition reimbursement (57%) and in-house training seminars (50%).

The most common tuition reimbursement program restrictions are fixed annual dollar amounts (71%), limitation to job or business related functions (45%) and length-of-service requirements (41%).

Student loan repayment assistance programs are a growing employee benefit offering in the U.S. A 2019 survey indicated that only 4% of organizations offered a repayment program and in 2024 the percentage more than tripled to 14%.

The two most common types of repayment assistance programs are payments by the employer as tax-free or after-tax student loan payments.
