Pulse Survey: GLP-1 Drugs Corporate Respondents

The 2026 GLP-1 Drugs Pulse Survey for the U.S. examines how corporate, multiemployer and public employers are addressing coverage and policy decisions related to GLP-1 medications, traditionally used for diabetes management and weight loss. Survey results show that 36% of corporate employers (31% multiemployer and public employers) cover GLP-1 drugs for both conditions. Additional insights from the reports include:

  • The most common eligibility requirements used to approve GLP-1 coverage are minimum body mass index (BMI) (90% corporate and 86% multiemployer and public employer), obesity with one other chronic disease (54% and 51%), and participating in a lifestyle modification program (29% and 34%).
  • GLP-1 drugs for weight loss represented an average of 11.4% of total annual claims for corporations in 2025, and 14.7% of total annual claims for multiemployers and public employers.
