The increase in the number and sophistication of cyberattacks has made it increasingly difficult to protect employee benefit plan member data. Employee benefit plans have a responsibility to protect plan member data but also need to find ways to make it convenient for members to access benefit services. How can plan sponsors use AI authentication systems to manage data? Ensure that systems have strong encryption protocols and secure storage practices for member data, confirm that systems adhere health care security like HIPAA, and inform plan members of how the plan will collect, use and retain their personal information.
