New Virtual FTMS Option Available!
Foundations of Trust Management Standards (FTMS) is the first step, focused on the needs of new Canadian trustees. FTMS is for those who must learn and understand basic principles of effective trust fund management.
Together, FTMS, ATMS and MTMS provide the ideal blend of knowledge, skill and experience needed for effective management of trusts. To get the most value out of this education, it is recommended that individuals leave enough time between each step on the path to practice and apply their classroom learning.
The International Foundation recognizes that new trustees, in particular, must quickly gain an understanding of the basic principles of trust fund management as well as an awareness of where to find resources in order to make informed decisions. The assessment component offers trustees an opportunity to validate their learning. The introduction offered by FTMS is the first step in a larger strategy to provide a cohesive, integrated educational path for trustees at all levels.
FTMS is an excellent starting point in educating yourself as a trustee. The whole program was excellent!
